Our Code Enforcement Officer  maintains and enforces Zoning in the City of Alma.

Zoning Application

If you would like to petition an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance for a property, please complete a Zoning Application. 
 

Application Process

1. Once a Zoning Application is completed, including a recorded Plat of the property please submit to the Code Enforcement Officer: Arthur Outler.
2. Once he has reviewed the application, he will advertise the request in the local newspaper no less than 15 - Days prior to the Planning Commission meeting.
3. The Planning and Zoning Board will do the following:
   • Hold the public hearing
   • Hear from the applicant
   • Decide their recommendation
   • Submit their recommendations to City Council 
   • The recommendation will then move to the next City Council meeting for a final decision.
