EPD Issued a Level 1 Drought Response

The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) has issued a Level 1 Drought Response. The City of Alma and Bacon County residents and businesses are encouraged to begin practicing water conservation.

Mayor & City Council

The Mayor and Council are the Legislative body and they are the decision makers of our community. They approve the budget and determine the tax rate. They focus on the community's goals, major projects, and long-term planning. The Mayor is elected at-large and all five council members are elected by the district that he or she represents.

Meetings

The Mayor and City Council meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 6PM in the Bacon County Courthouse.
