Doing Business in Alma

The City of Alma has three types of business license to accommodate any business that you operate. They include a General Business, Professional, and Beer and Wine License.  Once fees have been paid and the documentation has been completed, the City will mail your business license.
 

E-Verify and Public Benefit Affidavit

• All new business licenses require the owner to sign E-verify and City Public Benefit Affidavits. 
• A person who owns a business that transitions from less than ten employees to 10 or more employees is also required to fill out a new E-Verify Affidavit. 

If someone has an existing business that has already filled out the City Public Benefit and E-Verify Affidavits, and they are on file with the city, then you do not have to fill the forms out again.
