The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) has issued a Level 1 Drought Response. The City of Alma and Bacon County residents and businesses are encouraged to begin practicing water conservation.

"City Council Called Meeting" 5:30 pm

The City of Alma Mayor & City council will hold a Called Meeting on Thursday, March 14th, 2024 in the meeting room at City Hall.

The primary purpose of the Called Meeting is to

1. Amending the Personnel Ordinance Section 10.10,

(2nd & Final Reading):  Consider the adoption of the amendment to the Personnel Ordinance Section 10.10.

2. Amending the Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance,

 Section 6-15 to provide for the licensing of the sale of distilled spirits (Mixed Drinks).

(2nd & Final Reading)     Consider the adoption of the amendment to the Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance, Section 6-15 for the licensing of the sale of distilled spirits on the premises at approved locations.
