Jerry Sweat
District 3 Councilperson

Mr. Sweat was elected District 3 Council Representative in January 2010. Mr. Sweat is a Bacon County High School Alumni, graduating with the class of 1974. Choosing to serve his country after high school, Mr. Sweat joined the army in 1975 and served until 1978.  

With over thirty years of experience in the dry cleaning business, Mr. Sweat has owned businesses in five different nearby counties. Mr. Sweat also serves as the President and CEO of United Hospital Laundry Services, Inc., which is located in Alma's Westside Industrial Park.

Council Member Sweat is a contributing member of the Bacon Industrial Building Authority.

Mr. Sweat has been an active member of the First Baptiat Church of Alma for many years. He is married to Lonann and has four children, Jena, (Shawn) Roper, Jarrod, Cody, and Jerrilyn. Mr. Sweat has one grandson, Coleson Roper, who lives in Florida.
