Mayor
Mr. Williams was elected as Mayor of the City of Alma in 2008. Mayor Williams began working with the City of Alma in 1962. He served as Fire Captain for two years before being promoted to Fire Chief in 1964. He worked for the city for 39 years before retiring in 2001.
Mayor Williams married Ms. Norma Jean Taylor Williams on December 24, 1953. They were married for 53 years and she passed away in December of 2007. They have five children, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He has also served as the Deputy Coroner for Bacon County since 1978. Mayor Williams enjoys working and spending time with his family.
