Fire Chief
Chief Taylor was appointed to serve as Fire Chief for the Alma-Bacon County Fire Department in July 2008. Mr. Taylor has been employed in the emergency services field for approximately 30 years. He has been with the Alma-Bacon County Fire Department for 17 years. He is a certified fire fighter and a paramedic along with holding other certifications. He graduated as the valedictorian of the 1986 South Georgia Medical Center paramedic school. Chief Taylor has been an instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pedeatric Advanced Life Support for 12 years. Mr. Taylor is married and has three daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family and serving as a pastor.

"The mission of the fire department is to protect the lives and property of Alma-Bacon County citizens by providing basic and advanced life support in emergency medicine, fire suppression, education, and prevention services. These services will be conducted in the most cost effective and customer oriented manner from a trained staff of professionals while recognizing our personnel as the key to our success."
