Cleanup Week

Each year as a part of Georgia Cities Week and the Great American Cleanup, the City of Alma hosts a cleanup week. It gives the residents of the community an opportunity to drop-off various items that they want to throw away. The cleanup week site is located on Carribean Road (old city/county transfer station) in the Industrial Park on GA Highway 32 West. Drop-off hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cleanup week occurs each April. Please check the calendar on the City's homepage to find out the exact dates.

What items can be brought for drop-off?

Items including scrap metal, couches, mattresses, furniture, and regular household garbage can be dropped off.

What items cannot be brought for drop-off?

Tires, batteries, asbestos, and hazardous chemicals (including paint, oil, etc.) cannot be dropped off.
