NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE
The City of Alma has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 15 per cent.
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings on this tax increase to be held at the Alma City Hall, meeting room 102, located at 502 West 12th Street, Alma, GA 31510 on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 11:00 and 5:00.
The time and place for an additional public hearing on this tax increase is at
City Hall, meeting room 102, located at 502 West 12th Street, Alma, GA 31510, Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 6:00.
This tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 11.30 mills, an increase of 1.14 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 10.16 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $45.60.
